Our 2016 in Review

As we embark on 2017, the year of our 35th Anniversary, we would like to take a look back on 2016, a year that proved to be a great one for the foundation! It was in fact, our busiest year to date in relation to our mission.

In 2016, we helped to support 72 families who are caring for children with cancer. In total we disbursed 136 grants to families equaling almost $120,000. A sincere thanks to our ever growing Circle of Friends, who made it possible for The Frances Pope Memorial Foundation to assist twice as many families in 2016 than it did in 2015. Our disbursements typically focused on helping families with rent and mortgage payments, transportation to and from hospital, household expenses, funeral expenses, childcare and special requests.

Our two major events, the Friendship Ball in February and the Golf Classic in June, were equally successful this year! Your support during our events and throughout the year allowed up to be a financial lifeline for the ever-increasing number of children and families fighting cancer. As well as helping our families, your support has allowed us to continue our grants to the Andrew Baeulmer Technology Program at Mount Sinai and the Fellowship Program at NYU for another year.

We are always so grateful to our wonderful Circle of Friends for all of the generous support. You make what we do possible! THANK YOU!

We look forward to 2017 and hope to make our 35th Anniversary year the best one yet!!!

Reminder to Save the Date for the Friendship Ball, February 24th, The Pierre Hotel! See you all there!
