We are so excited to see all of you at our annual Friendship Ball!

The Ball is always a night to remember, filled with friendship, dancing, laughter, and most importantly, lots of love and support for our kids.

We hope you can make it to this year's event, which once again will be held at the beautiful Pierre Hotel on Friday, March 6th.

There are so many ways you can help. Plan on attending? Why not sponsor a table and share the fun with your friends! Seats are filling fast though, so make s...

Dear Circle of Friends,

I hope this note finds you all well and enjoying the hustle and bustle of December. Yes it is the season of festivities but it is also a time to reflect and give thanks.

I must thank Tim Gleason for being an extraordinary 2019 Man of the Year. And thanks to Tim's friends and all our loyal friends, the 2019 Friendship Ball was a night to REMEMBER!! And as 2019 winds down, we are already well into planning for our 2020 Friendship Ball

So if you have not already done so,

Andrew Breslin (left)

Born in Co. Cavan, Ireland but raised in Kells, Co. Meath, Andy is the youngest of Eileen and Michael Breslin’s six children -- five boys and one girl! After moving to America on his 20th birthday, he landed his first job bar-tending in Tramps. His brothers, Michael and John, and sister, Maureen, soon joined him in the States.

In 1986, he opened his first bar, Allison’s, on 8th Avenue beside FIT, with Alphie McCourt, brother of the Frank & Malachy. Si...

I'm Cristian, a young 15 year old who hasn't even seen the world yet. In 2014, I was diagnosed with leukemia and it was hard on my parents. From that day, I knew God was with me. I was the only one in the room who didn't cry when the doctors gave us the news, I was very calm. From that point on, my faith was tested not once, but twice when I came out victorious after beating cancer twice. And now for a third time I'm fighting for my life… I have learned so much from just laying in my hospital be...

We were so happy to spend this past Friday, February 26th at the Pierre Hotel with our wonderful Circle of Friends. It's an absolute pleasure to see everyone come together every year to help us raise funds so we can continue our mission of supporting families as they deal with the struggle of a sick child.

It was a pleasure to have the chance to honor Joseph P. Coppotelli and the late Joseph J. Coffey as our 2016 Men of the Year. The work these two men have done for our foundation...

We are so happy to help support the Andrew Baeumler Technology Program in the Child Life and Creative Arts Therapy Department at Mount Sinai Hospital.

Here's a quick video about one of their programs, "Mission:Minecraft," a KidZone TV call-in show for pediatric patients. Watch the co-host, Ashley, and her callers explore the virtual world and work together to answer trivia challenges! Can they find Sparky and Pepper?!

Ashley, you're a natural! We're so glad to see and support the conti...

As we wind down holiday festivities with our families and friends, we are reminded of the many families who are experiencing great struggles instead of the great joys of the season. For over 30 years, you have helped us provide love, support and hope to hundreds of families enduring the heartache of caring for a child with cancer.

The annual Friendship Ball is our primary source of funds, making the work we do possible. Without our wonderful sponsors and patrons, we would never be able to pull i...

The late Joseph J. Coffey (left)

Joseph Coffey, legendary New York City detective, best selling author, and loving husband, father and grandfather, was taken from us just days after he warmly and proudly accepted our invitation to be our 2016 Honoree along with his dear friend, Joe Coppotelli. Joe was born and raised in the Murray Hill section of Manhattan and wanted to be a New York City cop since the age of 10. He was known as a “tough as nails,” no-nonsense Irish cop and was one of the greates...

"Good evening. My name is Sean McCormack, and I am a cancer survivor."

Throughout the years, the Frances Pope Memorial Foundation Friendship Ball audiences have been brought to tears by stories of heartache, courage, and triumph. This year, we were blessed to hear one of our kids, Sean McCormack, speak to our Circle of Friends about his battle with cancer.

We are so happy that Sean is feeling better! His resilience is inspiring!

See Sean's speech...

Also, see Sean's touching reading of his poem, "On...

This year, we were pleased to present our 2015 Men of the Year, father and son Timothy D. Delaney and Timothy H. Delaney.

Tim D., founder and Senior Vice President of Lancer Insurance Company, has been an ardent supporter of Frances Pope since our inception in 1982. His eldest son, Tim H., Chief Marketing Officer at Lancer Insurance, shares his father's generosity and has already proven eager to carry on the family tradition of support. It is this spirit of giving that has allowed our small...
